No. Classic SEO competes for a ranked link a person clicks. GEO competes to be the source an AI model quotes inside a written answer — a different mechanism with different signals. The two overlap on fundamentals like authority and clean structure, which is why I run them together rather than treating GEO as a bolt-on.
